2. Platform Fees
aye.so operates on a commission-based model where we charge a service fee on successful transactions. Our platform fees are non-refundable as they cover the cost of providing our services, including:
- Payment processing and transaction security
- Platform hosting and maintenance
- Customer support services
- Analytics and reporting tools
- Marketing and promotional features
3. Refunds for Different Offering Types
Live Events and Workshops
Refunds for live events are subject to the individual creator's refund policy. However, the following general guidelines apply:
- More than 48 hours before the event: Full refund may be available (minus platform fees) if the creator's policy allows
- 24-48 hours before the event: Partial refund may be available at creator's discretion
- Less than 24 hours before the event: Typically no refund available
- No-show: No refund available
Consultation Sessions
Consultation refunds depend on the creator's individual policy and timing:
- More than 24 hours before session: Refund available based on creator's policy
- Less than 24 hours before session: Limited refund availability
- Creator cancellation: Full refund of payment to participant
- Participant no-show: No refund available
Digital Courses and Content
Digital content refunds have specific conditions due to the nature of digital products:
- Within 7 days of purchase: Refund available if less than 20% of content accessed
- Technical issues: Full refund if content is inaccessible due to platform issues
- Misrepresented content: Refund available if content significantly differs from description
- After 7 days or >20% completion: No refund available
Membership Subscriptions
Membership refunds follow a prorated approach:
- Monthly subscriptions: Cancel anytime, no refund for current month
- Annual subscriptions: Prorated refund for unused months available within 30 days
- Lifetime memberships: Refund available within 14 days if less than 10% of content accessed
4. Creator-Initiated Refunds
Creators have the ability to issue refunds at their discretion through their dashboard. When a creator issues a refund:
- The participant receives the full payment amount
- Platform fees are typically absorbed by aye.so
- Payment processing fees may not be refundable
- Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days
5. Platform-Initiated Refunds
aye.so may initiate refunds in the following circumstances:
- Technical issues that prevent access to paid content or services
- Violations of our Terms of Service by creators
- Fraudulent or misleading offerings
- Creator account suspension or termination
- Payment disputes or chargebacks
6. Refund Process
How to Request a Refund
- Contact the creator directly through the platform messaging system
- If unable to resolve with creator, contact aye.so support
- Provide booking/transaction details and reason for refund request
- Allow up to 48 hours for initial response
Processing Time
- Creator-approved refunds: 3-5 business days
- Platform-initiated refunds: 5-10 business days
- Credit card refunds: 5-10 business days (depending on your bank)
- PayPal refunds: 1-3 business days
7. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be issued in the following situations:
- Change of mind after consuming digital content
- Failure to attend scheduled sessions without proper notice
- Violation of creator's terms or community guidelines
- Technical issues on the participant's end (internet, device problems)
- Dissatisfaction with content quality (unless misrepresented)
- Requests made after the applicable refund window has closed
8. Dispute Resolution
If you're unsatisfied with a refund decision:
- You may escalate the issue to our customer support team
- We'll review the case within 5 business days
- Our decision will be based on this policy and the specific circumstances
- Final decisions are at the discretion of aye.so management
9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
We strongly encourage resolving refund issues through our platform before initiating chargebacks. Chargebacks may result in:
- Additional fees charged to creators
- Account restrictions or suspension
- Inability to use our services in the future
10. Creator Responsibilities
Creators are expected to:
- Clearly communicate their refund policy to participants
- Honor their stated refund terms
- Respond to refund requests promptly
- Provide quality content and services as described
- Maintain professional communication standards
11. Currency and Exchange Rates
Refunds are processed in the original currency of the transaction. If currency conversion is involved, exchange rate fluctuations may affect the final refund amount received.
12. Policy Updates
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to users through email notification or platform announcements. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
